Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli is made only in the best vintages and in limited quantity. It is made exclusively from grapes sourced at "I Paganelli" vineyard, the oldest one in the estate, planted in 1964. Its vines produce high quality grapes which are hand-picked by selecting the best and ripest bunches.
The wine spends 48 months in large French oak casks and it is then aged in the bottle. Intense ruby red in colour, it has an elegant nose with notes of red fruit, leather and spices; on the palate it has a persistent, balanced flavour, with a long and seductive finish. Il Poggione has always received great awards in the most important wine guides and magazines: its Brunello 2010 was number 4 in the top 100 Wines of the World by Wine Spectator.
