A Brunello grown in the company's vineyards that the zoning surveys, begun in 1980, have identified as the most suited for the Sangiovese wine grape variety. After a rather rainy spring and early summer, the months of September and October have been excellent, with plenty of sun and ideal ventilation. These weather conditions have resulted in a gradual and late ripening of the grapes, which were in excellent quality condition at the time of harvesting, with wonderfully intense variety scents and a good balance between alcohol content and acidity. These conditions have produced a complex and well-balanced wine, with an intense bouquet featuring plum, cherry and small red berried fruit scents , accompanied by hints of mint and tobacco. In the mouth it is both robust and smooth. Excellent length.
