HERMÈS

Rouge Hermès

THE CREATION Created by perfumer Akiko Kamei in 1984, Parfum d’Hermès was reinterpreted in 2000 and rechristened Rouge Hermès. This eau de toilette celebrates one of the colours that has been emblematic of the house since 1934. OLFACTORY NOTES With a floral and amber character, Rouge Hermès eau de toilette strikes a sophisticated balance between intense rose notes, generous vanilla and captivating ylang-ylang. THE OBJECT The bottle, inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages, has a black cap reminiscent of a riding hat. The back label is illustrated with a design by Philippe Dumas, indicating that it belongs to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection. THE PARFUMS-FONDATEURS COLLECTION The Parfums-Fondateurs collection draws inspiration from the house’s heritage. Each THE CREATION encapsulates Hermès’ imaginary world in a name, a fragrance and a colour. Over the years, Hermès has pioneered a bold style of perfumery, resulting from encounters with exceptional perfumers.   When it was created by Akiko Kamei, this fragrance bore the name Parfum d’Hermès. Reinterpreted and renamed Rouge Hermès at the turn of the third millennium, this semi-oriental, ambery floral reflects the emblematic colour of the house and is the very essence of sophistication. Its sillage is unforgettable as much by its richness as by its masterful style. A novel of love, a vividly poetic writing style, an oriental feel, expressing an assertive and sensual femininity.
